Get tickets →Funny Bone, Back Bone, Wish Bone unfolds through fragments of text, drawing, painting, wood, and beadwork that move like memory itself—nonlinear, tender and precise. Upright planks, beaded seams and painted surfaces echo the body, spine, joints, skin, holding humour and tenderness alongside labour and care. Drawing from her Beaver Lake Cree and Métis lineages, Cire treats materials as living storytellers, carrying language, family and land-based knowledge. The works balance fragility and structure, play and persistence, inviting viewers to encounter memory as something built, held, and continually wished forward.
