Autumn brings warm hued leaves, cool breezes, and the time to decorate for the spooky season. When you think of this season, a particular house may come to mind. A house on the corner of an old street, an abandoned house with dark windows concealing something looking out at you from within, or a small bushy pathway leading to a house lit up with jack-o-lanterns. To add to this season's spooky feel, this class will help you design and create your very own haunted or autumn themed house. The house from your imagination will then be turned into a light display. During this class you will jump into Adobe Illustrator and learn the basic tools to create a design that will be lasered onto clear acrylic. The acrylic will be placed in a light base that can change to various colours! The class will have a template of the clear acrylic size for the light display - all you need to focus on is your design for the acrylic. This class is for beginner and intermediate users of vector design software. This class is for people who are comfortable typing, mousing, and navigating computer files and folders. This class is intended for ages 15 and older. NOTE: This is an Adobe Illustrator for laser cutting design class. You will not be laser cutting your autumn house during the class. You do not need Laser Cutting Certification to attend this class. Your autumn house will be laser cut after the class by Makerspace staff. It will be available for pick-up within 2 weeks of the class. Registration for this class starts on September 30 at 9am. There is a $13 cost for this class. All materials will be provided. Registration is through Zeffy.
